Mark I Degen, M.D., D.D.S.

 Dr. Mark I. Degen was born in Brooklyn, New York. He attended New York University College of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1997. Dr. Degen went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, followed by a year of General Surgery at the Medical Center of Louisiana. Dr. Degen finished his residency training at LSU in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2003.

Dr. Degen would go on to become an accomplished physician, achieving distinction at both schools for medical, dental and academic excellence. His dedication to training and clinical performance has led to a well-rounded skill set including dentoalveolar, dental implant, facial cosmetic and maxillofacial trauma surgery.

Additionally, Dr. Degen further broadened his training to include head and neck pathology, reconstructive and orthognathic surgery, and management of temporomandibular joint disorders.

With a love of the Red Rock region of Nevada, the decision to associate his practice with his new home made sense. His community spirit is reflected in his ongoing involvement with  Smiles for Survivors, the education and treatment of complications connected to cancer treatment.
